The theme of the exhibition is light and space. Black box gallery will display juried collection photography show focusing on the theme light and space. Light is the main and important element for great photography. The photographers should know the significance of controlling and seeing the brilliance of light in images. Contrast, shadow, highlight, direction, and explore play are an important part in creating magical and striking pictures. The space is composition and form. It is one of the structural elements present in the photographer’s frame. It is open to all ideas and genres: documentary, conceptual, still life, portrait, architecture, landscape, etc.
Ethan Jackson is the juror of the exhibition. He is a renowned designer and visual artist working in interactive media, photography, installation and light. He has earned BA degree in 1992 at Williams College and MFA in 1996. He did MFA at the Colorado University at Boulder. He was working full time at Reed College and Johnson State College. He taught photography and its related media. He is now focusing on creative work. He teaches to his juniors occasionally.
